Our trip to Resource Rescue to source some reclaimed packaging materials.
Sarah Cole
In the struggle to fend of using ugly expensive and polluting virgin packaging materials, we took a little trip to resource rescue in Bayswater.
It was super fun and we found lots of delightful sparkly colourful tapes, cardboard and wraps.
I know it looks like it’s for kids, but aren’t we all just giant kids at heart.
Not your typical packaging materials as resource rescue has sourced these items from industry, so it seems like allot of the materials have come from the automotive and safety industry. That means you can look forward to some extra unique packaging in your next order.
It’s bussinesses like these that allow Accessory Emergency to consider an almost 100% switch to sustainable 0% footprint packaging materials.
It does tend to mean a little bit more work when designing our packaging, but it’s very satisfying and when intergrating these materials it becomes more like and art project than a dispatch as everything is non standard.
If your an artist, crafts person or have some little ones, a visit to Resource Rescue is a really unique and fun experience. Please allow yourself some time as well, we went at 10:30 am and got out of there at 1:00pm.
